;; appearance
general;; Adeline has brown hair haired and green eyes, and thin because she can't gain weight even if she wanted to. She's about 5'3, and has a round face. Her eyes are quite large, and her nose is, too, but still proportional to the rest of her face. Her skin isn't very tan at all, rather pale. She walks with a sort of strut, but it's because it's the way she'd been taught. Not strong, she's still very agile due to dancing around her gardens.
Her clothing is pretty simple, since she doesn't have much money. She used to be a fancy dress wearing girl, that always managed to get a rip or something in it by the end of the day due to being an active child. She still dreams of having nice clothing and having her hair done fancily. She always wears a silver locket, the only posession of her mother's she could keep, but only because she snuck it away. Her hair is usually pulled back, and always falling out of it's ponytail, though she still managed to look good.
favorite;; She likes her hair. She could sleep on it, not comb it, and still have it look good.
hate;; She's very concious about her nose, thinking it's too large.
heritage;; French
ethnicity;; Caucasian
;; personality
general;; She is an odd mixture of a girl. She’s bold, daring, willing to try almost anything. She has a free soul and hates to be tied down, but her trust issue holds her back a lot of the time, and she gets defensive when people (mainly guys) get her to open up. She has the gift and curse of curiosity. Now exiting her awkward stage, she’s becoming a young lady, but she still walks the gardens barefoot and is found reading in trees. She’s not one for speaking out unless someone directly asks her something, but she has a lot to say.
Due to having overprotective parents, she's unlearned in worldly ways but is a quick learner. Sure, she might break some rules but she also has some degree of respect for them. Her attention span isn’t very long, due to her curiosity, and she tends to wander off when she’s on a place where nothing interesting is happening. She hates getting lost though, and it’s the only time she’ll cry, when she’s lost or stressed. Dance owns her soul, and she wishes she could dance for the theatre, but she only has time for work to support her and her brother.
hobbies;; Dance, reading, writing stories, singing
dislikes;; Chocolate, the color yellow, sappy romance novels, sitting still, lectures, large crowds, getting lost (especially in large areas)
likes;; Theatre, music, the color blue, looking at nice dresses, dancing, wandering, adventure novels, dark areas
Fears;; Heat, death, heartbreak, meeting her father, losing her brother
Secrets;; She curses to herself (uncalled for in those days), she may act like she hates it, but she's curious about love, and she's never been kissed because she simply avoids that situation all together
;; origins
general;; Her parents had a "Cinderella" sort of story. She was a peasant, he the rich son of a theatre owner. They met in the streets and after a passionate, secret love affair both of their parents would have disapproved of, had Adeline and her twin brother, Gaspard. They married after, but things turned for the worse. Her father started having affairs, and her mother became very worried. He began to abuse her, but loved his children, treating Adeline like a princess. One day, when she was only five, her mother announced she was pregnant again, which was bad because her father had planned to put her away quietly and marry another woman he had an affair with. The children came home to find their mother dead in her room, stabbed to death. They haven't seen their father since.
The children had no fortune given to them, so they suddenly found themselves dirt poor and living in an orphanage. Little Adeline, who didn't understand, was an eccentric little girl. She ran around barefoot and wrestled boys, bringing grief to the headmaster. When they were fifteen, they’d secretly saved enough money to purchase a room in an inn, whish the owner lets them pay rent for. Since it was near the theatre, they both worked there, he as a writer and she as a maid. Now a developing young lady who still walked around barefoot sometime, she longed to be a dancer, but was too shy. She still wants to, but sees her job as a maid there and at the inn in more important so support herself and her brother. But she still has her dreams…

;; roleplaying
The day wasn’t very bright, or cheerful, the sun hidden behind clouds and the entire feel of the day seeming very grim. Nicoletta, however, was all smiles, wandering aimlessly about the garden with bare feet. She was humming a song the rather contrasted to the day: bright and cheerful, uplifting. Her entire presence seemed to glow despite the gloom, her golden locks, her fancy white dress, the braid wrapped around her head that her tiara rested on. Her entire visage sparkles with inner happiness. She had a good reason to be happy. She was on her way to England later that afternoon, to see her fiancé for the first time. She hadn’t met him, but heard many rumors about him, both good and bad. She wanted to believe the good more, but that’s what she tended to do with everyone. She was the open-minded type, the sort to look over errors and praise the good qualities one possessed. The sound of footsteps distracted her, and she didn’t have to turn to know who it was.
“What business have you sneaking up behind a woman such as me, good stable boy?” she asked, a mischievous smile invading her lips. A chuckle sounded behind her, and a handsome young man not many years her elder walked in front of her, smiling. He had dark hair and a charming, roguish smile that made you think he was up to no good. He wa, however, the person Nicoletta trusted the most out of anyone besides her brother.
“You never fail to hear my approach, milady” he said, placing hi hands on her shoulders and smiling, “My, you’re dressed up nicely. Since when were you a woman?”
“Oh, stop it you” she said, trying to look offended, thought the smile stayed. It was hard to keep a straight face around Harold. He was her riding teacher, and secretly taught her archery. If her mother had ever found out, she’s have taken off her head with one of her long nails or something. She tugged at her sleeve and sighed, looking loathingly at the material.
“It’s rather itchy.”
“I’m not surprised. A lot of fancy things are uncomfortable. I think that sort of tells you something.”
They shared a laugh, and looked at one another for a short bit before he looked around, then pulled her into a tight embrace. It wasn’t “right” for anyone to hug royalty that way, but Nicoletta didn’t at all agree. So, to keep her mother and father happy, they only did so when alone.
“I will miss you” she whispered, taking a step back from him. She heard a carriage pulling up, and rushed over to a tree trunk, pulling on her slippers. He followed, his cheerful disposition replaced with sadness.
“I will too. You’d better hurry, your father will come looking for you.”
“I know…” she said, then stood straight, giving him a final smile. She wasn’t one for sappy partings, but she felt tears forming in her eyes, and turned, quickly rushing away from her closest friend so he wouldn’t see her tears. They were gone when she reached her mother and father, and as she was escorted into the carriage, she spotted the stable boy outside the window, among the other servants, looking like just another person bidding them farewell... ;;
