;; fundamentals
full name;;Elizabeth Marie De Chagny
nickname;;Lizzy, Liz
birthday;;March the 14th
age;;10 Years old
sexual orientation;;Heterosexual
job;;Student of Christine
class;;Upper
Canon;;Yes
;; appearance
general;;Standing at a mere three foot 3 inches, Lizzy is quite small for her age. Inheriting a delicate frame from her mother has given Lizzy an amazing sort of grace in all she does. Her movements are fluid and graceful and although she knows it is not proper for a girl of her class, she adores copying the moves she sees acrobats and dancers make in the circuses (And for most moves she can copy them with a bit of practice.)
As both a blessing and a curse, Lizzy has been blessed with her mothers beauty and her fathers soft blond hair, both combining to give the girl a fragile and innocent look. The nurse-maid who helped Christine through the birth plainly stated that she would draw men to her like wasps to honey. Lizzy remains oblivious to her beauty only using her cuteness to get her extra treats from the kitchen staff.
Lizzy has slightly odd looks because although she is ten years old she looks around 7 to 8. This is because of her innocent blue eyes and button nose. Lizzy has declared that she dislikes her lips as they are to narrow, and her mother has beautiful full ones. Her skin is the color of ivory and as a result, Lizzy cannot go out into the sun without a bonnet or scarf, as her skin burns easily and goes a horrible lobster red before peeling in a painful process. Lizzy has grown used to the routine, and rarely leaves the house without a bonnet on, but has be caught several times by picking a bonnet that didn't fully shade her face or having her bonnet blow off, and having to run after it in the sun.
Lizzy adores dresses and is quite spoiled by her parents, so she is rarely seen in anything other then the finest materials. Gentle dresses of silk, lace and cotton are always seen on her no matter what the occasion. She has recently taken to wearing gloves after her mother wore them one time and Lizzy saw how beautiful her mother looked. With Lizzy's pale complexion and blond hair her parents make sure to never let her wear any deep colors until she is older, as the colors would surely mature her and give her a vampiric look, which is wonderful on women, yet awful on a child. Bearing this in mind Lizzy always wears; yellows, pinks, blues and whites. She only wears any other color if they are at their palest state. Insuring she does not look courtable until her family is good and ready to deal with the problems it causes.
favorite;;Lizzy loves her eyes. It constantly amuses her to see how they become a dark blue in the night time, or in times of little light and how they brighten to a sparkling sky blue on sunny days or sometimes when she is just very happy.
hate;;Lizzy's hair is a source of confusion for her. She loves that it is blond like her fathers, but she wishes it was as curly as her mothers, rather then just wavy.
heritage;;French
ethnicity;;White / Caucasian
;; personality
general;;Lizzy is a generally bouncy and happy girl. She is often seen as a little strange, often skipping down the hall singing some song she just made up that makes no sense to anyone but herself. She looks on everyday as a new challenge and faces into most things optimistically. A trait which some find admirable, while others think her optimism is slightly annoying. As she finds a light in a pitch black room, often using phrases such as "at least we are all safe" and (her personal favorite) "things can only get better"
Lizzy has quite a short attention span and often trails off in the middle of sentences. She also has difficulty sticking to one book, often getting one chapter before the end and abandoning the story in favor of her own ending. She adores playing dolls and can often make up better stories then even famous novelists. Often maids have been caught sitting outside the door of her room, just listening to her spinning a tale of love, trickery and deep plots that make you think to her wonderful can Tom-Tom who loves to listen to the stories.
While most people brush Lizzy off as the dumber and the ditsier of the two children, those who know her well know that while she is not as intelligent as her brother in some areas she is highly skilled in others. Lizzy is as her most dangerous when she is silent. Often she sits at the dinner table when the family has guests over and stays perfectly silent, her young brain taking in all the gestures, looks and words of the guest. Later on she usually puts it all together and forms a description of the guest, and has often surprised guests and her family by correctly guessing reasons for certain atmospheres. Though honestly her studies of those around her are never done with any malicious intent, it mearly started because she wanted to aid her brother and father. Most times she just stores it away and uses it to better understand the person in question and their motives.
Lizzy is fiercely loyal to her friends and family and it would take a lot to sway her opinions about them. She can also be quite naive and innocent around people looking and believing in the best in them. She always want to see the good guys win out and from reading to many novels has a very clear cut idea of good and bad, not really believing that there is a murky grey area. She is very trusting, but if the trust is broken it will take a lot to win it back.
Lizzy does not have a great understanding of class and often does things that would not be considered acceptable of a girl of her class. Often playing with the servants children, giving them her toys and dresses and behaving in a manner that is too hyper in public. She is gradually learning to control herself as she ages, but as with most things the learning is a slow process.
While Lizzy is known for her kindness and happiness, when it comes to her family she will push all the boundaries. Her loyalty often causes her to do stupid things to protect those she cares about. This includes loosing her temper and acting in an unladylike manner. Most people understand that she does not really mean it she just desperately wants to protect those close to her.
hobbies;;
- Dancing
Lizzy loves dancing, she loves just letting go and moving how ever she feels to the music playing. She loves watching her mother dance as she longs to be a supple and flexible, so she could do all the beautiful movements she sees she mother perform.- Singing
Lizzy is always singing, though her songs rarely make sense to anyone but herself. She sings about Tom-Tom, Mama, Charley, Papa, even strange stories she hears.- Playing Piano
Though not nearly as good as her brother, Lizzy adores playing piano as she feels it brings her closer to him. She often annoys the older boy by stealing his notes so she can learn the songs he has written or is learning. She usually fails miserably until he gives in and teaches her note by note.- Reading
The large library in the De Chagny house feeds Lizzy's addiction to books, and she is often found searching the rows for books with interesting titles. She also has a habit of "borrowing" books from her mother and fathers bedside tables.- Playing with her dolls
A vent for Lizzy's creativity, Raoul consented to buying Lizzy five porcelain dolls from Paris's top doll factory. The five dolls consist of three males and two females, and the staff of the manor adore listening to the intricate plot lines Lizzy comes up with for her dolls.
dislikes;;
- Sour things
Crabbe apples, unripened fruit, etc.- Rude & mean People
Lizzy is courteous and mannerly to everyone and cannot understand why everyone cannot be that way.- Bad-table manners
After years of being trained to be a counts daughter, Lizzy finds bad-table manners slightly sickening, and has a tendency to wrinkle her nose when they are displayed.- People she can't read
It is a rare thing but sometimes Lizzy comes across people she does not understand at all, and the very thought makes her annoyed. After all she spends a lot of her time figuring out people.- Fighting/Violence
Lizzy hates any kind of violence. She feels so strongly about it that often seeing or hearing it can make her dissolve into tears. No one really knows why it affects her so strongly but her nurse maid said it is probably caused by her gentle nature.- Loud noises
slamming doors, shouting, thunder, etc. Tied in closely with her hatred of fighting- False People
Because of her status and family, Lizzy has met many people who say something to get in her parents good books but mean something else entirely. She has grown to dislike them because she hates people taking advantage of their good nature.
likes;;
- Tom-Tom
A small, black, kitten with large silver eyes. Lizzy found it one rainy night huddled beneath a large oak tree, that grew in the back garden. The kitten adores Lizzy and follows her around like a chick does it's mother. It is fiercely protective of her and seems to react to most situations based on Lizzy's emotions.- Family
As with all little girls, Lizzy adores her family and looks on them as her heroes. Mama is the one who hugs her tears away. Papa is her knight in shining Armour who she can run to when she is scared, and Charley is the caring older brother who she talks to when she doesn't want to burden her parents.- Sweet things
Cakes, chocolate, etc.- Making friends
Lizzy is a naturally friendly child, and has little con-sense for class. She can be upper-classish but if she sees someone her own age Lizzy will not be content until she has made a new friend.- Hugs
They are a simple wrapping of arms around someone, but to Lizzy they mean the world. They provide support, comfort, protection, and a place to hide away from everything and just feel loved.- Plays and Operas
Lizzy adores going to them with her parents, because she loves to get lost in the play, and let the characters feelings become her own.- Nicknames
More an odd little quirk of hers then a like, Lizzy has a tendency to give everything a nickname. When Raoul suggested Thomas was a good strong name for a cat, Lizzy happily called him that, but not three minutes later the whole family was in stitches as she thought carefully before crying out "Tom-Tom" and skipping off with the cat at her heels.
Fears;;
- Loosing her family
Lizzy desperately fears loosing any members of her family, as they mean the world to her and she would do any thing for them.- Storms
Lizzy has always been afraid of thunder and lightening ever since she was a little baby. When a storm approaches she normally she runs to her family, but failing hides under the bed covers.- The dark
Not for the reasons you would expect, Lizzy hates the dark. Her eyesight is something Lizzy depends on greatly, and she does not like the confused and scared feelings that she is left with when her eyesight is taken from her.- Death
At Lizzy's young age she rarely thinks of death. Any topics that remind her of it only lead to loosing her family and not being able to see them again.- Blood
Lizzy and Charley were playing catch one day, when Charley slipped and fell down the manor stairs. Charley suffered from a severe nose bleed and it caused Lizzy's fear of blood. Watching her parents panic and fuss around her precious older brother as a red liquid flowed from his nose became imprinted in her brain. Since then the sight of blood takes her back and she either feels faint or passes out at the sight of it.
Secrets;;
- Opera Ghost
Despite being told not to, Lizzy read many tales about the Opera Ghost and knows as much as the papers do about her parents involvement in the burning of the opera house.- First Kiss
Lizzy's first kiss was stolen by a gypsy boy. Lizzy hung back after a circus, so she could talk to the gymnasts and just before her father arrived back in a young acrobat boy kissed her and ran off. It was barely a brush of lips and it was just an odd feeling in Lizzy's young mind.- Mutterings in mum's sleep
Lizzy has often been tempted to ask her parents who mum's angel is. When she was six her father left on a business trip and Lizzy slept in her parents bed. During the night, Christine whispered the words "Mon Ange" and shed two tears and Lizzy has been curious ever since.
;; origins
general;;On the 14th of March 1914, Christine De Chagny gave birth to her youngest and last child. Elizabeth Marie De Chagny was a healthy weight, and instantly enchanted her parents and brother with her chubby, rosy red cheeks, bright smile and soft blue eyes. Opposite to her brother Lizzy was a slightly louder child, not overly loud Lizzy did prefer to be in someones arms then in any crib. Though most of the staff and her family guessed when she was about to cry by the fact that her little face scrunched up ready to let out a loud yell.
Due to Christine's bad health, Lizzy spent the first few weeks of her life being cared for by a young maid who had lost her own child in child-birth, but who was still lactating. Even when Christine took Lizzy back into her care the grateful De Chagny's kept the young maid on at the house and gave her the position of child's-maid.
Lizzy was a very happy child. As she grew older she never lost her innocent, naive and gentle nature, but she did develop many odd quirks that everyone seemed to adore in her just as much as her normal ways. Her happy-go-lucky nature and singing voice could bring a smile to even the most set faces and could warm even the hardest of hearts.
Lizzy grew in a content and loving household and for the most remained oblivious to any difficulties her parents, brother and the outside world were having. Her mother quickly became her idol, Lizzy wanted to be like her in every way; her singing, her dancing, her kind nature and her beautiful looks. (The last leading to a minor disaster when Lizzy got her little hands on henna and tried to dye her hair brown.......it didn't look as nice as Lizzy had expected it would, but luckily the maids got to it before it set and were able to wash it out.) Her father was her hero and Lizzy was convinced that she would marry someone as strong and as brave as him one day. She grew especially close to Charley, comforting him when he had difficulties as the eldest boy and going on adventures with him to prove she wasn't just a silly girl.
It was around this time that Lizzy's talent for singing and dancing first became clear to her mother. Christine was overjoyed, though no one could be as happy as Lizzy for she had finally succeeded in being like her mother in one area. Christine took Lizzy under her wing and began teaching her everything she had learned from Madam Giry and even somethings she had learned from her angel. Lizzy adored the lessons and often pestered her mother waiting for the next one, she often asked where Christine had learned all this and Christine vaguely answered "When I was in the Opera House", but Lizzy was content with that answer and only wished she too could learn in the Opera House.
Around the Summer of her sixth birthday, Lizzy first realized that her mother and fathers life in the Opera House had not all been sunshine and rainbows. Exploring with Charley one day, they stumbled across newspaper clippings. The clippings all spoke of a great fire and a famed "Opera Ghost". Some also included tales of her mother and father and their narrow escape from death at the hands of the fire. When Lizzy tried to ask a maid more about it, she was instantly silenced and told to never mention that name again. The maid glanced nervously in the direction that Christine and Raoul were having lunch before leaving and Lizzy understood that it was a deep tale and she would probably have to wait for her parents to tell her.
The incident was brushed to the back of her mind, and Lizzy lived an uneventful few years, but now Lizzy's family have moved back to Paris and are living very near the Opera House. Lizzy's curiosity was sparked by the clippings, and now she is determined to find out more.....from the very source of the action. She mentioned her interests to Charley and he is in agreement, but can the Opera House and its residents handle two children snooping around or are some secrets better left unasked?

sample;;(Taken from a thread on an anime RPG)
Tohru jumped surprised as Tamaki told her to take the sign down, and without even realizing what she was doing scurried over, yanked it down, sprinted back and presented it to Tamaki happily. She has been so startled that she didn't even hear his full sentence. "Do you mind if I ask what you want with it?" Her poor chest was heaving from the fright and then the dash, but above all her politeness still shone through. It was a habit she had taken up to make her mother happy but she had never lost it or felt the need to loose it. It often made people look on her with a warm smile when she was polite to them and Tohru adored making others smile.
She silently watched as Tamaki and Ayano conversed, and placed the sign lightly down on the table as Tamaki did not seem to notice her dash. Tilting her head to the side Tohru tried hard to come up with words to describe her two newly acquired friends, but poor Tohru had never been good with words, so she ended up deciding on "moderately Kyo-like with small bits of Yuki thrown in" for Ayano, and "Very like Momiji, with bits of Ayame and Shigure" for Tamaki. Satisfied with her deductions, Tohru tuned the conversation in. They seemed to be talking about their rich lives and the Island. From what she had gathered of rich life it was often very lonely, and she could see that loneliness shining out of both Tamaki and Ayano. They hid it very well but it was still there under the surface, and the few flashes of it Tohru saw made her more determined then should be humanely possible to make her friends lives ten times better! Biting her lip she thought silently before chirping up in her usual optimistic way. "I think both of you are amazing! I've heard that rich children can have really bad lives and though I don't know if yours were of not, it's such a pleasure to see you both smiling. You both just being here makes me feel really happy and I can't keep the smile of my face." Tohru smiled happily as she looked between the two, hoping in any small way to realize some of the loneliness they felt inside, even though she had meant every word she said.
Tohru blushed lightly as Tamaki placed his order. She was only used to Certain members of the Sohma family being this polite to her, but Tamaki's politeness was like nothing she had ever seen before. It differed from Yuki's, Ayame's, Shigure's, Hatori's and every person she could think of, but it was just a testament to the fact that everyone is different in their own little ways. She nodded happily before taking a cone and using the machine to create a near-perfect swirly ice-cream. She handed it back to Tamaki with a genuine smile. "I hope you enjoy it, it's a special Tohru-made processed ice-cream!" She declared happily, Tamaki's over-dramatics rubbing off on her.
Turning to face Ayano, the smile still on her face from the ice-cream only grew as Ayano spoke more. Sparkles surrounded the young girls eyes. "Yes, yes, that would be wonderful! I would be honored to receive the chance to go out with you and Tamaki-san." She said happily, as she clasped he hands together. She turned lightly to face the clock, before turning back "I finish work in ten minutes, if you can wait that long! Then I'll be ready to join you." Tohru was practically bouncing up and down. It was so long since she had gone to town with friends, usually she or Uo-chan was working, so that had stopped all her plans before. She paused lightly and looked between the two. "If that is alright with you two of course!" She said suddenly a little nervous she had offended them in some way.
