;; appearance
general;;
Charlotte is, in her opinion, rather plain. She has been called beautiful before, but refuses to believe it. Her nose points slightly upward which she feels makes her look like a bird. She is rather self-conscious about her appearance, and tends to see the faults more then the attributes. For one, Charlotte is rather thin for her size; she stands at around 5ft 8 and weighs only around 9 stones. She has been accused of being anorexic many times, but if you see her eat you'll know it's a different story. Charlotte is also, rather large chested, which she finds both good and bad. It's good because it gives her shape, but bad in the sense that she gets back pain from time to time, and has in the past had complete strangers try and hit on her.
Because of her mixed heritage, her skin is slightly darker, giving her a exotic appearance. This sometimes causes people to mistake her for someone outside of Europe, which she sometimes finds annoying. The completion of her skin compliments her light blonde hair, which falls down past her shoulders. Her hair isn't completely light blonde; there are darker shades within it, creating a very interesting hair colour. The darker colours in her hair help to bring out the beauty of her greyish blue eyes.
favorite;; Charlotte's favourite attribute is her eyes, they are the same colour as her father's and she loves the colour of them.
hate;; Charlotte hates her nose, she's been teased about it and wishes it were different.
heritage;; French/Italian
ethnicity;; Caucasian
;; personality
general;;
Charlotte is a rather quiet and reserved person when not in the limelight of the stage. When not performing, she prefers to stay in the background rather then be the centre of attention. This is mainly due to the fact that she finds it hard to make friends and has in the past been bullied. So because of this, she finds it hard to talk to people. She has a deep desire to leave a good first impression with people, but is unsure how exactly to do that. This reserved nature is the reason behind her difficulty in making friends, and she is trying to work through it.
However, once she gets to know someone, it is as if a flame ignites within her. She becomes open and warm and very charismatic. It often surprises people to see her like this, but nerves often get he better of her, but this nervous exterior melts away once she begins to trust someone. There is a slight reluctance to her character at all times, but that is only because she fears that if she trusts the person completely, sooner or later they'll let her down or betray her.
It is fair to say that Charlotte is rather stubborn and strong willed. She doesn't like to be told what to do and often objects to things, which she has no interest in. If in an argument, it is very unlikely that she'll back down until she wins. This is an attribute she received from her father, and often finds it ammusing if they get into an argument. She cannot help being stubborn and wishes that she could let things go once in a while, but she seems unable to. She'll have a joke about it with her friends and often tries to brush it off as a common human flaw. But her stubborn nature can sometimes be used for good, if she feels the need to do something to help someone else; she'll ignore everyone's rejections and do it anyway. She has a deep passion for helping others, and won't let someone suffer if she can stop it.
Charlotte is rather intelligent and has strong music sense which comes to no surprise considering her father is a musician. She has a sharp mind and can quickly pick up a piece of music after hearing it once or twice. She is able to use her intellect to analyse any situation she finds herself in. She keeps a rather cool and calm head if she finds herself in a predicament, and uses her intelligence to work out what to do. Her intellect can annoy people at times but she is unable to help herself. This intellect can sometimes come off in the wrong way, especially if she analyses a person and gets it wrong.

;; origins
general;;
Charlotte was born to Arcangelo Avare and Fauntine Avare, her father was an Italian musician who'd fallen hopelessly in love with her mother. She was born in the posh area of Surrey on a warm autumn night, the family had been touring in England, and when she arrived they decided to stay in England untill Charlotte was older.
Although Charlotte's family had a lot of money, they didn't flaunt it about, so they lived in a simple four-bedroom cottage in Surrey near to London, they had a wonderful farm house view, and Charlotte enjoyed waking up to see the sun rising up over the hills. She would often wake her father and mother up to watch it with her, and she was deeply saddened when they eventually moved back to Paris when she was sixteen years old.
When she was four years old, Charlotte was in a music store and saw a piano. Approaching it, she banged on the keys and found herself enjoying the sound. Her father had been with her at the time and decided to buy it for her began to teach her how to play it. Along the way, Charlotte began to learn how to sing, and her father was impressed by her skills.
She eventually started a grammar school in London, being rather shy, she didn't interact with the other children that much. In lessons, she picked up things quicker then most because of her teachings at home. Because she was different to the other children, she was often teased and she began to find it hard to make friends.
She found some comfort when she turned eight years old; she befriended Bethan, a girl in her English class. The two became good friends, and Charlotte found herself becoming a happy go lucky girl again. Bethan often questioned Charlotte about her strange last name and Charlotte found great pride in announcing that she had Italian and French roots. She found herself able to share with Bethan a lot of her thoughts and feelings, and their friendship grew stronger over the years
Things took a turn for the worse when Charlotte was ten years old. She came home from school to find her mother on the floor. Rushing to her aid, she saw that he was in pain and called a doctor. When they arrived, it was discovered that he'd gotten an infection that had gone unnoticed. Her mother gradually got worse until a month later she died. Charlotte was traumatised by the experience and felt as if she'd lost a part of herself.
Charlotte completed school and got her education, but she still longed to sing, but her mother's death hung over her, in order to protect herself, she put up a 'mask' and made the world think she was just like everyone else; normal and happy. But inside she was dying.
After a trip to Paris with her father, Charlotte discovered the Opera Populair, deciding it was somewhere for her to be who she truely was and for her to let her soul sour to the skies. After a lot of planning, her and her father moved to Paris and bought a small cottage near the Opera House.

With a heavy sigh Rosangela watched as the last rays of the sun dissapeared from sight as it descended behind the rooftops that surrounded her. It wouldn't be long till it would be completly dark and Rosangela would once again be alone. Alone to think over her own private thoughts without having anyone to question or judge her.
Of course, she didn't have to be alone, she had her maid Marie, and there was an extra room which the young maid could use. But Rosangela always dismissed her for the evening and allowed the young girl to stay with her friends and family. After all, she didn't need Marie during the night, and it would only make her feel uncomfortable if she knew someone was watching her.
After all, the dark hours of the night was when Rosangela practised her singing. She knew her voice was good, but she still needed practice. And although she was normally quite a confident women, she deeply feared singing around others in case they thought her voice... disgusting. She was very concious about her voice, and she didn't take too well to insults over her singing.
But she had come to Paris in high hopes of gaining confidence and singing in the famous Opera Populair. Sadly though, when she had arrived in Paris, the Opera house had been burnt to the ground. When she had talked to people, she had discovered it had burnt down ten years ago. Which surprised Rosangela because she had never heard of the event in England. Then again, not many Englishman knew of the Opera Populair. She only knew because she had often come to Paris on a holiday.
But now that it was destroyed, her high hopes of becoming an Opera singer was gone, of course she could go to the Opera Magnificant. But she had heard it was tough to get in there, and she didn't have the strength to try and fight her way into there. At least not yet, maybe soon she would. But for now all she had to do was find a teacher and train her voice to perfection.
As the moon began to rise, Rosangela smiled and sat in her bedroom chair. She found herself thinking over the past few months that had happened. She had left her family and friends behind, moved her, gotten a maid and had been getting to know a few people that lived around her. And from that she had learnt bits and pieces of what had happened to the Opera Populair. Not many people liked to talk of it. But there had been many mentions of a ghost. Which Rosangela had found herself laughing at.
She was a Christian, and she believed in no ghosts, only the Lord and the holy spirit. The talk of a ghost haunting the Opera house had amused her greatly. It was probably tricks and ilusions, or some simple girl making up stories. But from looking at people, she had seen that this silly fantasy had gotten quite deep. And she feared for the many people around her, it was not good to live in a world of dreams.
Looking at her clock, she decided that it was a good time to start her practice. Rising from her chair she opened the large doors that led out onto her balcony and pulled the thin curtains across to add as a small shield against the elements. It was slightly warm inside and she needed a cool breeze. But she didn't wish for there to be a large amount because it was Winter and she knew she could easily catch a cold if she wasn't careful.
Breathing deeply, she put her hand on her stomach area and closed her eyes. Memories flooded her mind, memories of her father; the very man who had started her teaching in singing. Her father was a musician so she had a musical ear and had picked up on things that surrounded her. Her father had noticed this and had begun to train her. But he could only do so much.
A sense of lonliness washed over Rosangela, and she felt small tears form in her eyes. She missed her family alot, and her friends. But truthfully she had always been alone, the majority of her friends were married and some even had children. Even her sister had someone to love her. But did she? No, never. Most people stayed away, they didn't see her like they saw other people. Rosangela had never known why.. but she was seen as an outcast. And it had caused her to become lonely. But she hoped that at least here she could find love.
"There's a saying old
Says that love is blind.
Still we're often told
"Seek and ye shall find."
So I'm going to seek a certain lad I've had in mind.
Looking ev'rywhere,
Haven't found him yet;
He's the big affair I cannot forget -
Only man I ever think of with regret.
I'd like to add his initial to my monogram.
Tell me, where is the shepherd for this lost lamb?"
She sung softly as she began to connect with her secret emotions, nothing in her words lied. Every word spoke truth to her, and indeed to others. But even if the words she sung could relate to anyone and everyone... right now they were personal to her and only her.
"There's a somebody I'm longing to see:
I hope that he
Turns out to be
Someone who'll watch over me.
I'm a little lamb who's lost in the wood;
I know I could
Always be good
To one who'll watch over me.
Although he may not be the man some
Girls think of as handsome,
To my heart he carries the key
Don't you tell him, please, to put on some speed,
Follow my lead? Oh, how I need
Someone to watch over me"
