;; appearance
general;;Standing at 4'11, Charles is about the average height for a twelve year old boy. His body is sleek and quite muscled for a twelve year old boy. This stems from all the fencing, riding and general sports he does to keep in top shape. Charles skin has just enough color to make it look healthy, but being that way causes Charles to look even worse then he is when he actually does get sick. He also has a light speckling of freckles across his nose, forehead, shoulders, and down his arms.
From years of training, Charles never slouches, but at the same time never looks like he has a pole for a spine. He usually sits, stands or walks in a comfortable yet dignified manner. He also has learned from having a dancing Mother and Sister, that stretching is necessary to maintain a healthy body. Because of this Charles wakes up a half an hour before most other members of the house and carefully stretches to keep himself healthy. These stretches allow him to only have to a minor amount of stretching before involving himself in strenuous activities.
Charles is very careful with his body, and usually makes sure to get enough sleep. If he is kept up late one night, he will make sure to get more then enough sleep the next night. Charles understands that sleep is important for mental and physical health, and regards both of these things as highly important. Charles tiredness is easily recognizable though because in a stark contrast his eyes lose their usual sparkle and become very dull.
Charles has narrowing greeny-brown eyes like his father. He has his Mothers hair color, and it always holds a style that screams “If I was longer I would be as curly as Christine's”. Though the slight straightness of it makes him wonder if his fathers hair is slightly curly too. Charles has his Mother's wide, kissable lips, but kissing is the last thing on his mind. He also inherited an odd combination of both parents’ noses. It has the light bump like Eric's own, but ends in a button-like quality that is very like his mothers. His eyebrows are thick, but as they are not overly so he has never had the desire to pluck or shave them.
favorite;;Charles loves his hands and brain, because they are the most talented parts of his body, and he finds them the easiest to work with.
hate;;Charles hates his height, he cannot wait until he is as tall as his father.
heritage;;French
ethnicity;;White/Caucasian
;; personality
general;;Charles is what everyone always expected the heir of the De Chagny fortune to be. A genius in many many respects Charles easily makes his family proud and puts those speaking to him in awe. Charles is naturally suave and sophisticated. Raised from birth to fill the role of Count after Raoul's death, Charles is mannerly, quick-witted, studious, clever and very good at observing those and things around him.
Charles often puts up a indifferent and calm front around others so as not to give away his real emotions, things which others can use against him. This mask is only dropped when he is around Lizzy, Christine or Raoul.
Without his mask, Charles is friendly, loving and unendingly loyal to those who can break through the walls around his heart. He often does meaningless tasks to make those important to him smile and will punish anyone who upsets them. Charles is not known for his temper though it was described by a maid as a dormant volcano that is just waiting for the right moment to burst, and then he will let all the anger he has kept tucked away out. She also commented that she feared for the person he realized it on, as Charles has quite a sharp tongue when angered.
Upon first meeting Charles, he will always retain a level of formality, while remaining highly polite and courteous. Charles is rarely rude to those around him, but has little patience for "Simpletons" and can be quite mocking if you get on his wrong side. He speaks in a formal tone and has a tendency to use long words without realizing who he is talking to; because of this Elizabeth has developed a substantial vocabulary far beyond her tender years.
Charles eyes and mouth are often at odds, though they are the most expressive parts of his body. Though Charles tries hard to mask his emotions he has not fully succeeded and sometimes unwanted emotions can filter across his face. Charles mouth seems to have many different stages, and can change quickly; it can go from smiling gently at his Sister to smirking lightly at an investor or dignitary.
Charles rarely, if ever, cries and only Lizzy, Raoul and Christine have ever seen the boy cry. Charles is quite self-conscious and nervous beneath his cool exterior and has to trust someone with all his heart before he would even consider letting that many emotions out.
Although Charles has been raised in the hard world of the Upper classes he has a very gentle soul and would never willingly do anything to hurt anyone. He is actually a bit of a softy and a push over, not really having the strength to stand up to people he holds dear, or even those he does not know if they believe in what they are fighting for enough. This often conflicts with his need to protect his family and he has often been forced to appear cruel to keep his precious family safe. Charles would never raise his voice or fist to anyone undeserving and finds people who would repulsive and has little time for them.
hobbies;;
- Playing Piano/composing music
Charles is a stunning pianist, and has composed many songs. He often takes his inspiration from his family, friends and those around him. He uses music as an escape from the world and a time to relax.- Studying Mechanics
Charles has always been fascinated by the way things work and will spend hours of his free time taking things apart and using diagrams to better understand things he cannot take apart.- Reading // Gathering information
Charles thirsts for information, and, much like his sister, can spend hours and hours in the library but prefers books filled with facts to those filled with fantasy.- Designing Structures // Architecture
Charles has always loved drawing, and when he was given a book on architecture for his eight birthday it was a match made in Heaven. Since then Charles has designed many complicated buildings in great detail.- Fencing
A simple sport that Charles had to learn has become a hobby of his. He loves trying to guess his opponents next move and he enjoys the speed and skill required.
dislikes;;
- Idiots // Simpletons // Annoying People
Charles has been raised in a world of intelligent people, or people who are trying to be intelligent, and is easily bored by silly conversation. It is not in his training to suffer fools lightly and to pick them out early on, so he can often be harsh when faced with people like that.- Big-headed people // Divas
Charles has had to put up with so many Upper Class divas, and so has very little respect for them. If he is faced with someone bragging about themselves he will listen politely as he was taught to, but will find a way to quickly leave the conversation.- Bad Manners
Being raised in an upper class family has made Charles very fussy about manners and how one acts around others. Because of this he finds those who cannot follow the code of good manners very distasteful.- People who treat him like a child
Because of Charles's superior intelligence he has had to put up with many people putting him down, brushing him off and treating him like a child out of jealousy.- Not knowing his father
While he desperately loves his family, there is a hole in his heart that Lizzy, Christine and Raoul cannot fill. So he would love to just meet his father once or even know a little about him, in hopes of filling that hole.- Violence
Charles does not like violence and has zero respect for those who use it. He will try hard to figure out why they are using it, but if he cannot find a good reason he will find it difficult to converse with them or even be in the same room as them.- Failing
Because of Charles's upbringing he can be very proud at times and hates to loose. He also hates not being able to figure things out because he knows he is intelligent enough to.
likes;;
- Stimulating Conversation
Charles adores learning things but never really has anyone to discuss the things he learns with. So he is always delighted to find someone he can have a proper conversation with, while discussing interesting topics.- Learning New Things
Charles has an unsatisfiable thirst for knowledge, and will spend hours in reading, discussing and studying to try and gain new knowledge.- His Family
As with most boys, Charles is completely devoted to his family and would do anything for them. They are the only people he can show his true self around and he loves them all the more for accepting him as he is.- Order
Charles is a practical person and likes everything to run smoothly and to retain order. He is often upset by unexpected surprises and though he has learned to expect them he highly dislikes them.- Girls
Charles has hit that awkward stage where he has noticed how beautiful some women/ ladies/ girls are, but still thinks the thought of even holding their hands is disgusting. Though he still likes to look and note how pretty they are.- Dressing up
Charles adores making his family proud, and because of that he always likes to looks his best. Whether it is just his suit and hair or whatever fancy outfit he has to wear to a ball or gala.- Candles
Charles has always been enchanted by candlelight ever since he was a small child. He loves watching the way the light flickers against the walls as it creates beautiful shapes that disappear a split second later.
Fears;;
- Loosing his family
Charles has seen the way other lords and ladies treat their families, and because of this he has come to adore the nice and pleasant way his own family get along. He would be lost without them all and treasures each one of them very much. He prays that he will die before them, so he never has to see their bodies being lowered into the ground.- Becoming Crippled
Charles relies heavily on his hands and body, so would be completely lost with out it. Charles often commented that he would rather die and sometimes he thinks that is true.- Raoul finding out he is not really his son
Charles adores his father and although Raoul is not his real father, Charles has looked upon him at his father for most of his life and is afraid of their relationship being destroyed once his secret gets out.- His family splitting up
Charles understands that many things put strain on marriages, and that Lizzy will have to marry one day. But he does not want the perfect way things are now to end. Charles would do anything to keep them all together, and that is another reason he fears the secret of his birth coming out, as it would probably tear the family apart.- Death
Charles has never overly feared death; he understands that in the end there is peace. In truth Charley more fears how exactly that peace will come about. As with all people he fears pain and knows that death can be an incredibly painful experience.
Secrets;;
- True Father
Charles is an intelligent boy and has noticed that although there are bits of Christine in himself, he has never seen bits of Raoul in himself. This along with certain reactions of his parents, have led him to the conclusion that he is not Raoul's son. Charles desperately wants to know who is real father is if only to get some closer, but loves Raoul dearly and fears that asking might drive him away.- Opera Ghost
With Lizzy, Charles discovered some clippings in the house all relating to the fire in the Opera House and each one mentioned the infamous "Opera Ghost". Charles is curious to find out more, as none of the maids, his family or the other staff will mention the "Opera Ghost" and the article stated his parents were involved.- Away from set path
Though Charles would never admit it, he would rather become an architect then a Count. He continues to learn so he will not disappoint his family, and because he hopes as a count he will find time to continue to learn and to design on the side.
;; origins
general;;One could say it was almost fitting for the son of the famed "Opera Ghost" to be born on All Hallows Eve, but as only one person truly knew Charles was Eric's son no one noticed. Christine might have, but whether she did will remain a mystery. Charles was born to Christine and Raoul De Chagny on the 31st of October 1912. He was luckily a healthy baby, and as there were no problems with the birth Christine was up and about within days. As Raoul and Christine were happily married everyone naturally assumed that Charles was Raoul's son, ignoring the different shaped face and eyes which were far too similar to one Eric or O.G. for Christine to over look. Still Christine did not mention it to Raoul and the marriage continued happily.
Charley was quite an unnaturally quite baby, maids often having to guess when he wanted feeding as he rarely if ever cried. He did not need to be cuddled, though if it was offered the child never refused. Charles was an easy child to raise, as he listened, worked hard and rarely broke rules. Raoul and Christine could quickly see that they had been lucky, not only had their first born been a son, but he was also turning out to be the perfect candidate for the Counthood. Raoul's family were over the moon, he marriage with Christine had caused strain, but the birth of a good son causing a few of the angry fires to merely simmer.
As Charles turned two, his parents announced great news, Christine was pregnant again. Charles watched in fascination as his Mother's tummy swelled and grew over nine months, and nearer to the end of her pregnancy, despite his young age, Charles delighted in feeling the light kicks his Sister delivered and would often tell her about his day. On a fateful March morning Lizzy was delivered into the world, and after seeing the state his beautiful Mother was in after, he found himself growing to dislike the child that had caused her pain.
Lizzy was taken into care and finally after five days, Charles was brought into the where his sleeping Sister. Standing on the very tips of his toes, Charles looked into her sleeping face and found his breath catch in his throat. She looked so very small and frail, perhaps in no better shape then their Mother. The nanny kindly explained that she had been an early birth and they were quite lucky she had survived. Charles moved closer and lightly stroked her hair, the baby sturred and Charles found his eyes linked to stunning blue eyes. He smiled gently and watched as the baby gurgled in return, Charles was hooked. From that day he became devoted to his little Sister, rarely fighting with her (they did fight sometimes though) and easily stepping into the role of protective older brother.
As Charles grew, so did the responsibility on his shoulders. The older he got the harder he had to work to maintain peoples affection and respect. A hard worker, Charles was able to meet all their demands and was happy that he made his family proud. Charles lived a full life, never wanting or needing for anything and having the freedom to pursue his own interests (Within reason, of course). Charles adored this life, but was forced to grow up quite a bit quicker then Lizzy was because of the responsibility.
When Charles was nine he noticed that though Lizzy looked quite a bit like both Raoul and Christine, Charles found himself at a loss. Where did his other features come from? He could find Christine in himself but never Raoul as he could in Lizzy. Hearing maids gossip that Christine must have been having a secret affair cemented it for Charles. He wasn't Raoul's son, though he would try his hardest to be better then any others Raoul and Christine could have. Charles quickly found his voice breaking when he had to call Raoul "Father" he loved Raoul as much as any son could, but a part of him had learned of a mystery and was determined to solve it. Who was his real father? Would he ever get to meet him?
Deciding he wasn't worthy to truly call Raoul dad, Charles began to work extra hard. Everyone noticed it; he suddenly learned everything he could about being a Count and studied his Father's mannerisms and habits in hopes of becoming as good a Count as him.
Charles has since grown into a fine young man and is slowly on his way to declaring himself worthy of calling Raoul dad, but with the family suddenly up and moving to Paris, the town where Raoul and Christine lived when she became pregnant with Charles; Charles has found himself craving his true Father. "Is Father still in Paris?", "Will Charles get to meet him?", "If Charles does meet him will Raoul be angry?", and the cruncher "Will he even want to know Charles?". Only the future will tell.

Tamaki smiled happily as Ayano took his flower. He was glad that she was acting nicer and had seemingly forgiven him for his earlier slushie mistake. His eyes began to sparkle as various ideas ran through his dramatic (and idiotic) mind. This new town and new school would be the perfect chance to set up a new host club. After all it was his duty to charm the lovely ladies all over the world. What sane women would not want (and need (and desire)) the company of a charming, handsome, graceful, charismatic, desirable, passionate, and chivalrous young man (Who (truthfully) was a gift to the earth from God.). Kyoya would be proud of him, he was even thinking of setting up a host club after being moved far away from his home. Perhaps here he would meet another lovely daughter. (Who (of course) would love spending time with her daddy and dressing up for him in only the cutest outfits.(She would be a lot more feminine then Haruhi (and a lot less cruel and cold to her adoring daddy.))) Luckily, there would also be no devilish twin to torment their father and make lecherous and incestuous comments about their innocent little sister.
Inner mind theatre.....rolling.....3........2.....1.........Opening curtains
A (very handsome) father and daughter (who looks oddly like Haruhi.......) stroll silently down a town street. They stop often at little shop windows to peer inside and look at the many cute outfits. Walking again they pass a cage where two devilish twins are locked up in a sound proof wooden box, but neither spares it a glace as they pass and walk into a shop called "KAAAAAAAWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!" The (Haruhi-like) daughter skips over to a rack and picks out one of the pinkest and frilliest dresses, then skips into the changing room. She arrives out in the dress and twirls for her father. "Tama-chan, Tama-chan what do you think of this dress?" The father walks over and lifts up her chin. “Anything would look cute on you." He says calmly. The girl blushes and coos "Oh, Tama-chan" before the two lean in for a kiss.
In reality Tamaki stood with his hands on his cheeks swaying from side to side. His eyes were shaped like hearts as he cooed words like "Kawaii" and "My precious daughter, daddy loves you!!!" He shook his head to bring himself back to the present and smiled at Ayano. "Yes I heard my father and Kyoya talking about it." He said happily. He was more then a little proud that he had remembered something from Kyoya’s boring lectures. He watched as she shook his hand, and only noticed that her hands were too calloused to be normal female hands. She must take part in some tough sport, such as kendo or perhaps volleyball. Finally noting what she had said he retreated to a corner. He then began to silently grow mushrooms. "My commoner skills are too lacking" He muttered as he sniffled and poked a mushroom that was growing slower then the rest. He looked over his shoulder at her with his eyes rounded into puppy-god eyes, before quickly looking down at the floor and sniffling. Repeating this a few times he finally relented and spoke quickly. "My last name is Suoh" He muttered, an over the top pouty look on his face.
