"Oh, that's not true!" Angelique cried in protest to Rosalind's claim that she would model only as a stick. "Many models that I have met have very little figure to speak of and they are the most sought after women of the art world."
It was true. One of her dearest friends in the art world was as flat as a board and she was Armand's second favorite model as well as working with a great many other artists. They usually had her play the part of the young Prince or the Archangel as she could easily dress as a man. Often Angelique and Celeste would be a pair together. Those days were some of Angelique's fondest memories. They were the same age to the day and had instantly become friends, laughing and teasing each other as they both modeled for Armand and others together.
"Recognize me? Oh, heaven's above, no!" Angelique laughed softly. "Maman would die of shame if anyone did. No…the artists who paint me are talented enough to disguise my features and preserve my anonymity. The same is true for my good friend Celeste. She is rather flat herself and she models for the male rolls, such as the Archangel or one or two young saints. The artists have masked her features so well in many of her pictures that even I do not recognize her."
A bit of an exaggeration, but Armand was very talented at making Celeste's features appear more angular and masculine in his paintings. He had done it so many times that he claimed to be able to paint their faces from mere memory.

Rosalind smiled "Really?" she said but felt doubtful still, she thought it was unlikely that she herself would ever be sought after, maybe in the art world but particularly in the world of love
She could not admit it but she herself was scared of falling in love, or anyone fall in love with her, she had lost so much that she could not bare to lose something or rather someone else she loved.
"Ma Maman often said I should be more than just a daughter, she probably would might not mind if I was recognized in the street. I dont know what she thought or would think if I was recognized. I rekon its good that artists diguise the model's identity" Rosalind knew she was not making much sense "To be honest I don't know. SO about Celeste, do you still keep in contact?"
She thought for a while "I bet you enjoyed yourself though if you were with your friends" she smiled remembering how she made frinds when she was younger; she tended to make friends with males, and one stood out, as he was her best friend and he often helped her to hide her identity and they worked together a lot.
"Do you still model?" she asked then smiled "I suppose it is rather hard to find the time now." she sighed "I would love to be able to paint" she said thoughtfully "Little Amelie showed great promise, as did Louis, Clarisse never showed any interest and instead sang a lot" she smiled fondly "My mother was great though" her voice had turned dreamy as she ws lost in memory, she normally did not let anyone know anything about her, still Angelique did not know that Rosalind's family were not together
